On July 4, 2025, destructive and deadly flooding took place in the Hill Country region of Texas. During the flooding, at least 135 people were killed, and at least 117 died in Kerr County. The flood was the deadliest inland flooding event in the United States since the 1976 Big Thompson River flood.
In response to this natural disaster, Gladden the Heart issued a number of emergency grants to aid some of the most devastated people in the region. Read some of their stories below.
