While we all heard that the only substantial flooding that occurred was on the South Fork of the Guadalupe, Nicia’s experience of being in her home as it was swept into and down Honey Creek proved that untrue. Gladden the Heart found that many who were not on the South Fork or on the main Guadalupe River were overlooked when it came to flood aid though they were just as impacted by the water. Well-loved in her community, Nicia brings light and love to so many. It is our pleasure to provide a grant to someone known to who gladden the hearts of so many.
